Re: Plusnet are blocking my move to new provider.

And how long is that going to take there is a period of 8 weeks mentioned then a period of 6 weeks.  I'm stuck at least that time.

Remember any formal complaint I make will be against both companies.

Plusnet for stopping the order/transfer and the new provider for not pursuing whoever he places the now two orders on, I guess Open Reach.  He as refused to contact whoever involved.   The Ofcom procedure is for him to do everything and me nothing.

I'm stuck.

well maybe when you get this evidence it can be easily sorted. So first step is to get this so called evidence from the gaining ISP. Remember it was offered to you.

Re: Plusnet are blocking my move to new provider.

My guess is that there is a pending order to move you to Plusnet's new network.

Re: Plusnet are blocking my move to new provider.

I'll pick this up on Monday if it isn't picked up today.
Let me assure you that there won't be any malice in this, the likelihood is that there'll be an open order on the line.

Thanks Matty for your offer of help, I do not understand the open order bit though.

Re: Plusnet are blocking my move to new provider.

Plusnet are gradually moving all their users across from WBMC shared to WBMC dedicated. To do that they have to place an order with OpenReach for each line to be moved.

If you want the details have a look at http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/BTwholesale_network.htm

Re: Plusnet are blocking my move to new provider.

So the outcome during this is none of us can leave Plusnet?

Re: Plusnet are blocking my move to new provider.

Not during each customers individual transfer from the old to the net networks.

However, I believe that each customer transfer should only take a couple of weeks once initiated by PN.

It will all be down to unfortunate timing of attempting to leave PN during an active transfer request.

If this is this case the PN person I spoke to on the Phone did not know that as I was told PN were not stopping the transfer.

I'm not happy with my chosen new provider as they would not contact the people they place the order on (OR?) to find out.   They say up to me to find out and put right, but I'm piggy in the middle.

Re: Plusnet are blocking my move to new provider.

Hi @dnpark38 first I just want to say I've not ready every single comment on this thread, however I've certainly got the jist of things.

Looking at your phone asset, we've not receive any Customer Leaving Notifications which would indicate another provider is trying to take over.

However having said this, if their orders were placed between 15/08/16 and 01/09/16 they may not have made it through due to the open order on the line to transfer the broadband asset to the new network (As Jelv guessed correctly)

As the migration to the new network completed on 01/09/16, there should no longer be anything to stop your new provider placing orders to take the service over.

I can assure you this wasn't playing dirty as you suggested in your initial post, more unfortunate timing as RichardB said.

I do apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and for any confusion off the back of this.

If your new provider has any problems getting orders in place to moving forward, please do let us know and we'll look in to this further for you. However as it stands, I can't see anything that should stop them now.

Re: Plusnet are blocking my move to new provider.

Thanks Harry.

It was the 25th Aug I ordered from him and he notified me the order had been cancelled by Plusnet.

He reordered on the 1st Sept. and told me that too cancelled by PN.

Re: Plusnet are blocking my move to new provider.

Probably worth trying again now the order to migrate the connection to the new network has completed.

I don't think "order had been cancelled by Plusnet" is the best way to describe this as it will have been cancelled by suppliers/automation somewhere "due to an open order on the line" although I appreciate the automated message they were receiving may have not said exactly that.

Re: Plusnet are blocking my move to new provider.

This is copied from their e-mail.

"We've been tracking for committed dates to come through, however your current service provider has cancelled the transfer.
We're going to replace the order - we just wanted to know that's why there will be a slight delay."

I rang about that second order and was told that too cancelled by present provider.

As I said I'm stuck at the moment, he won't contact whoever he placed his order on, which I've told him that is what he should do.  I now await what he does next, if nothing then I will expect to have my payment returned.

Re: Plusnet are blocking my move to new provider.

If the second order you're referring to is the one you mentioned from 01/09/16, then they really should try again now, since the open order that was previously on the line completed on that day leaving no further open orders.
