Price of Unlimited + Anytime - Have I got this right?

I'm on a legacy product, so I had a look at what it would cost me to shift to Unlimited BB plus an Anytime package for Phonecalls.
Ignoring line rental, it would cost me £14.99 per month.
Yet a new customer would apparently get this same package for £7.50 per month.
Have I got that right?
If so, would you care to explain why the difference is _so_ great?

The price difference is to attract new customers.

Old customers prepared to re-contract can give the Customer Options Team a call and see what deals are available.

How about some people posting the deals they got here?
Or are they sworn to secrecy?
