Not enough whisky Pierre-Pierre, Sorry its a small tiny bit of plastic but seems to be doing a good job, Its this Huawei hg521 router, If you see pics of it its probably about the size of the pic your looking at. Cheesy
Edit... Or smaller Cheesy

I would not object to totty http://www.thehodown.com/totty/tabid/53/Default.aspx doing my routing. That is, were I younger and SWMBO not present. Grin
No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.

Re: Thinking Of Leaving Plusnet? Hang On Not So Fast!!

Since moving to talktalk Ive experienced dis-connections and I can hardly hear anyone on the phone when they call or if I call out, Never had this problem before switching to LLU so Im going to move back to plusnet for definite, Talktalks support on the phone is foreign people who dont have a clue and Talktalks forum is not that great either considering they have staff dedicated to helping people out on their forum, Thats if you can wait a week for any form of reply from them. Its been a terrible move moving to talktalk and I dont recommend it to anyone, Seriously If you think the grass is greener? I can assure you its not!!

Wasn't sure from your other thread if this got sorted out in the end, did the ADSL nation faceplate fix this once and for all or did the problem return?

Re: Thinking Of Leaving Plusnet? Hang On Not So Fast!!

Im not too sure Adam as The problem with talktalk was happening in my test socket, Then I changed my router to only Synch with the exchange at 8064 down and 1020 up,  That seems to be when my line got stable, Or perhaps a mixture of both doing that to my router and getting the ADSL nation faceplate. Also my original front plate lower half packed in on me altogether so Thats why I got the faceplate aswell.

Hi Adam,
Just been on the phone with talktalk, So Im not locked into contract with them for 18 months the guy suggests I get a confirmation date from yourselves when Im going to go live, Now I went live with them on the 12th July so He suggested I give them a ring by the 10th August with a confirmation date from the provider Im moving to which is of course yourselves and then Ive just to give them that date?, If that all makes sense to you could you advise me on what I do next regarding this as I dont want locked in with them and be due them a wad of money. Re: Thinking Of Leaving Plusnet? Hang On Not So Fast!!

whatever you do
you will be responsible to pay talktalk llu for your phone rental , any calls you made and your internet
right up until your go live date with any new provider(such as plusnet) in a mid month switch
to plusnet from that day for any services that you use  ,  plus advance payment for a first month
expect these bills to arrive within a month
