Re: Thinking Of Leaving Plusnet? Hang On Not So Fast!!

Hate to disappoint Steve but DLM is not really optional. Assuming that by that you mean that you want to stay with TT let me know if there's anything we could do to help you change your mind.

@Steve M, Have you red Talk Talk Is STalk STalking their customers?  I would not touch Talk Talk/STalk STalk with a 6 foot barge pole.

Re: Thinking Of Leaving Plusnet? Hang On Not So Fast!!

Adam,
Im at the end of my tether with talktalk, Tonight its became clear that when my girlfriend and me have rang my landline that sometimes we get an engaged tone even when the phone is not engaged, Ive been on the phone to talktalk who ran tests and say all is well with the line and they rang my landline and guess what? Yep it rang, Ive rang Plusnet tonight at 21.35 roughly to try and get my account salvaged and await a call from someone tomorrow on my mobile regarding coming back to plusnet, Ive stated that Ive been too and fro ever since this move to talktalk and im sick of it now, Somethings seriously wrong check out my speed and thats me synching at 23mbps down roughly.. Can My account be salvaged with plusnet and a New Direct Debit would need to be placed. Thankyou. Cry

Edit, Never mind all this carry on Adam, Im going to be locked into contract with TalkTalk from the 12th of this month so In the morning Im going to cancel my landline and broadband with them altogether, Then Im going to sign back up with plusnet a Fresh, New line, New number etc..etc... Im not staying with talktalk for another 3 weeks. Ill be in touch.

Re: Thinking Of Leaving Plusnet? Hang On Not So Fast!!

Hi Steve,
Good news Smiley It might work out easier if I can give you a call to arrange this. I usually have more time to make/receive calls between roughly 1PM and 5PM at the moment so let me know what's best for you. If that's not convenient I can get a colleague to contact you.
We can indeed salvage the same account for you, like you say we just need to set up a new direct debit. I also need to make you aware that a fee of £49.99 would apply for a new line installation.

Re: Thinking Of Leaving Plusnet? Hang On Not So Fast!!

Hi adam.
I was just going to re-order a new account with you but if my account can be salvaged then thats great, Yes I am aware of the £49.99 charge, This would be for a new line correct? or new number Grin Ive rang talktalk and they say im to be cut-off between now and the 17th, Fine by me to be honest, After last nights scenario theres no chance im paying them for a half baked, Flaky service, If for some weird reason talktalk dont cut me off as promised can I still get a new line? Because im not calling them again to make sure they have done their job right?

Hi Steve,
That's no problem. I've started the upgrade process and will keep you updated every step of the way. Re the phone package though I'm certain we agreed on an anytime package? let me know if I need to alter your order.

Re: Thinking Of Leaving Plusnet? Hang On Not So Fast!!

Hey Adam,
Got an E-mail saying my phone line should be up and running in 3-4 working days, This is good news, One thing I failed to mention to you and I hope its not too late, Can I go Ex-Directory please?
EDIT.. After posting this I came across this..Please see my attachment, So gave Plusnet in sheffield a call and the guy says its nothing for me to worry about, Thought Id run it past you, I also mentioned going EX-directory and he says he will pass the request on to the provisioning team?
Cheers,
              Steve

Re: Thinking Of Leaving Plusnet? Hang On Not So Fast!!

Hi Steve,
Don't worry about what the agent advised over the phone as I'm managing your order. It's entirely up to you but you might want to keep your correspondence with just me to save any confusion or problems in the chain of communication. I will need to investigate the lead time on the message you received, it is most likely not going to be correct I'm afraid and I would err on the side of caution and ask you to have an expectation of more like 7 to 10 days for the work we need to do.
With regards to keeping the number ex-directory I will make that request for you.
If you need to speak to me you can always reply on here, drop me a PM or if you call between 9AM and 5.30PM and speak to the call centre I'll take the call from them as long as I'm available.
Adam.
