read reply #2 above and the links in it. Also it looks as though you may have developed a line problem. Try starting a post on the Broadband speed board and post your line stats.

ok did the fault question thing  ran the 3 tests on the Bt checker which is giving me a realy good set of stats,
got up this morning and tryed downloading some files and got realy good download speed, 700kbs+ for a short while  then it was like someone fliped a switch and now im getting little over 70kbs.
took some screen shots of the bt tests and some of the tests i did at another site as well as some of the downloads i did but not sure how to post them on here
so now i have to wait and see what plusnet come up with to my raised question...

ok added 2 shots from the BT checker
1 from another site and a shot of my download speed
and plusnet have replyed to my question  but they seem  not to be too sure whats going on

Plusnet.  My BT results are Download - 641 kbps d/l (60.1kb/s)    and  Upload -229 kbps (28.6kb/s)

The aove results were on the day I had posted.  Todays speed is much faster but it usually is during daytime.
Download speedachieved during the test was - 3007 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :5600 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 3500 Kbps
I will post results again at evening time.
