Usenet - Will this service continue?

A BT Internet customer has said that BT are ending their Usenet feed.
An extract from the BT announcement reads
"On 3 December, we're stopping the Usenet service that comes with your
broadband because our partnership with Giganews is coming to an end.
(Giganews provide the Usenet service, which you see as
news.btinternet.com in your email programme.)"
Can Plusnet confirm that they have no plans to follow suit?

Re: Usenet - Will this service continue?

I for one hope that the service does continue.  I regularly access a few threads:-  UK Digital TV;  Raspberry Pi;  UK Telecomm

I wouldn't hold your breath on that, I suspect you might not look good in purple!

BT have a rate-limited binary feed whereas ours only allows you access to text groups. Regardless they are two completely separate accounts/agreements and the closure of BT's offering doesn't indicate anything on the horizon for Plusnet.
