Re: Why has my speed been throttled - AGAIN

The one which tells me I have been restricted - I hope I get one with the extra spend set to zero - it is the wording I will be looking at.
The one about approaching my usage allowance was correct

Re: Why has my speed been throttled - AGAIN

Congratulations - you seem to have fixed it - no more mention of 75p per GB

Re: Why has my speed been throttled - AGAIN

and it's happened again despite having an extra £5 spend set - waiting for it to be sorted after a phone call

Dear <snip>,
Account username: <snip>
At the moment your account allows for 10GB of peak-time usage per month.
You've probably noticed that your broadband speeds are slower than usual, this is because you've gone over your monthly usage allowance.  Don't worry, your speed will be back to normal at the end of your billing month.
If you'd like to return to full speed now, you'll need to increase your usage allowance.
There are two ways to do this, you can either:
- Increase your usage allowance - (75p per GB added)
- Use what you like now and pay for it at the end of the month - (£1.00
per GB used)

Update - nearly 4 hours now and still throttled

and they still haven't fixed it despite performing maintenance on the account - to say the least I am not best pleased.

Re: Why has my speed been throttled - AGAIN

For information
The problem appears to be that part of the Ellacoya system thinks I am still on BBYW Option 2 and up to now they have been unable to fix it
This is the last time I will post in this thread until they sort the problem or I reach my billing date on Friday morning which will reset it anyway

Re: Why has my speed been throttled - AGAIN

I reckon they should give you a free upgrade to Extra in the hope that that will correctly override all the settings and then next month downgrade you back to Value.

Re: Why has my speed been throttled - AGAIN

Bob Pullen manually fixed it - Thanks
They are going to try Jelv's suggestion
One thing, which I wondered may have contributed to the problem was that I went from BBYW Opt 2 to BBYW Opt 1 10GB special offer to Value and that may have screwed something up.
