We'd still like to fix this for you, but at the moment we can't do anything due to the migration order placed on your line.
*Edit*
Try restricting the upload to 50% as it seems like the upload is being fully saturated which will cause slowdowns on the download.

I've stopped all uploads and download right now for all those test. To tell you the truth its hard enough for me to try to open a page up without the internet cutting out on me... but everything has stopped for the test.
And I know you guys can't really help me since im migrating, but i just want a little speed to do my dailly thing but this is not funny... Trying to open a web page has been a pain in the back side.

Have you stopped all upload and download across all computers on your network? Some days it's over 1.5GB upload, that's why I suggest it may be causing some of the issues.

Have you got multiple PCs? If so you have you need to make sure they are all off or disconnected from the internet before running the test - any internet activity on other PCs will affect your speed test result.
Next I suggest you download a copy of NetMeter 1.1.3 (Google it, it's available from many sources). That will show you all your internet activity (both upload and download) - make sure you've killed all processes accessing the internet (particularly P2P) and that there's no internet activity. Now run the test. As well as posting the result of the speed test, attach a screen dump of the NetMeter window (attach is in the additional options).
Uploads can affect download speed because all transfers are a two way process, the receiving machine has to send back an acknowledgement before more data is sent.
Saturating a router with hundreds of P2P connections is known to crash some routers - you need to look at limiting that as well.

Gotta agree. Have been with plus net for about a year and should have moved months ago. I like to think you get what you pay for, but with this company you get very little of anything. I get continually disconnected and can barely read the news never mind any downloading. Speeds are atrocious, forget the weekends just does not work. Plus net deserve the crap name they have built up with online ISP reviews, and its no good resting on awards from the past. My MAC code is here and have just signed to Fast. But anyone has got to be better than this crap. Just makes me laugh with the childish boasts " we lit 6000 terrawatts of gigabit which should make our service soar" bullshite. You attracted custom cause your cheap but too cheap to invest in the service... thats why your losing so many subscribers.

I can download as much as i want without any restriction or slow speed!! at anytime!!! not just midnight onwards!!! My "intermitance where plusnet said its not their fault seems to stop completely............. hmmm........ they said i would still get this problem elsewhere.....
All I can say is that the internet is working how it should be with other provider!!!

OR when the root cause of your slow speed was BTw's rubbish over-congested exchange.
