Plusnet forced you too buy it? i find that hard to believe

I have consistently had poor download speeds in the 9 months that I've been with PN. Oh yes they've tested this and tested that (so they say) and sent me a test router and generally had me jumping hoops. But this is all a big con, they just want to appear to be doing something when the reality is that they know they're not providing an acceptable service but choose not to do anything about it.

Their Customer Service/Billing Dept. is also rubbish. I have phoned them numerous times about reinstating my Direct Debit but this simple task just seems too complicated for the monkeys in billing. Anyway, my contract is up in March '10 and I WILL be going elsewhere.

Don't bother trying to attempt to fix this, you burnt your bridges a long time ago.

I will dis-agree with that,take a look at the service status page,Plusnets been fixing quite a lot recently,shame you feel the way you do though

They maybe fixing a lot but they're NOT improving their download speed. And yes it is a shame that I feel the way I do but it's shameful that PN doesn't get it's act together.

Well my download speeds improved after november which was a bad month,my lines back to normal now,geting around 6/6.5mbps where as when there was some network problems i was as low as 1.5mbps so i gather that must of fixed itself then?

However i have not posted once that Plusnet do NOTHING about it as that is so far from the truth,if you stick around and read the "service status" page you might just get an idea of what im trying to get across
Im a NEW customer and stuck around long enough to see how this forum works,how plusnet works and i would not say and especially make a whole thread saying this is "the worst ip ever" with no ground to go on.

He's obviously not experienced the Oranges, Sky's, TalkTalk's, Tiscalis, BT's, O2 Acesses etc of this world has he?

I have been with BT and Entanet, both have been consistent at around 7.3mbs. My next door neighbour is with Tiscali, she consistently gets the same.
Far better than what I've been getting from PN.

You've got a 6500 profile currently, and according to your ticket history haven't reported a problem since July?
Are you seeing throughput problems at all times?

Well Steve, how long do you recommend me waiting around????? I've got things to do and waiting around is not in my book. Have you checked on my speed?? Did you even see the ping? I couldnt play any online gaming because it glitch on me soo much! I have to give up call of duty! Let alone do anything on the internet! do you know how frustrating it is to open a web page and it constantly crash on you??? and when you download peak times you will get max 20kB/s constant!
Give it a chance give it a chance look how many reply i've sent to resolve it. 1st is give it 10 days to staberlise then do a speed check then check your wiring etc... its a wild goose chase! The best thing they offer me was to give me the contention of 20:1.
And by the way since i've moved to a new provider I don't have any of this problem peak or off peak time i can download ~600KB/s (providing seeder let me), and my mum can stream at the same time, also i can actually play call of duty smoothly! So, is it my exchange??? By the way 600kB/s is not much, but it'll do. I'm pretty happy with it. No more the days that i wait 10mins for a clip and 5mins to open the web page.
And who cares about service status and what they've done! I pay good money for good working services not to come in and them saying oh look at all the problems we solved!
Or should i give them a couple of years and they keep reminding me how many gigs i have done and say it can't be that slow because you downloaded so much this month!
Iam happy for you getting a nice smoothe service, looking at the profile viewed i say alot of people are having the same problem as iam.

My profile used to be 7500 why has this dropped?

It dropped in September, due to a lower syncing event presumably, what speed are you syncing at now?

@ thongngo  point taken,just wanted to say that i too dont have a smooth connection as it should be thats all,and dont justify how it could be the worst isp ever because quite frankly before i joined pn 5 months back i was on a very,much poorer broadband and there customer service stank,i have a very different experience here though,just like you,sorry if i offended you in anyway,that was not my intention.can i just ask if you have moved to a new provider why are you still here posting?
