Something went wrong with our connection with the PO (which as any fule kno is BT as well) we had broadband rates of between 0.1 and 2Mbps for the whole of last August - and it took that long to sort it out - because you always have to go through this stupid thing of telling them you've done this, telling them you've done that, telling them you've plugged into your linebox or plugged into your test socket - telling them you've stuck a carrot up your nose and pressed CTRL # or visited a particular speedtest website and confirmed your speeds over a number of days. Then it's not until you speak to a 12 year old in support who actually knows what you and they are talking about before you get an engineer booked - and then the engineer won't be around for yet another week! So maybe the answer is better communication between services - and support staff - who, when the customer does happen to know what they're talking about - are actually believed!
*I might have made up the bit about the carrot.

Many are on 0.25 Meg connections, many of them aren't willing to try things such as remove the ring wire for some reason. It did help in our particular property.
I haven't ever had a missed appointment from OutOfReach but I wish they would sort of the cabinet all the houses on this development connect to, we need fibre to have any chance of half decent speeds.
I did manage to get a reply from somebody within OpenReach about the situation and they said there are currently investigations into areas where new housing developments were build during/after fibre upgrade works took place in the area....Apparently our development is one that's included in this review/investigation....
I'm not saying the guy is lying to me...but I can't bring myself to trust what they tell me is true,
Only ever had a Plus Net engineer out, and they have always been on time.

I am aware that the engineers are Openreach, not PlusNet, however, Openreach (as a monopoly) do have a contractual duty to their customers, in this case PlusNet, I do feel PlusNet could do more to get these issues resolved in a timely manner rather than just sit back and say "Openreach say no"

Just had a quick chat with the faults and provisioning departments to find out what we're doing about this. Bear in mind when we do feed back we can only do so to BT Retail who will then address this with OpenReach, but there are other ways as well which I'll explain shortly. Also (sorry for stating the obvious) we can only feed back on missed appointments that aren't down to the customer.
* Our phone provisioning team are already collecting details of missed install appointments for feeding back.
* Our fibre install team, where possible, are requesting expedites on any orders which have had a missed appointment. These expedite requests are fed to OpenReach along with the reason for the expedite request which is of course explained in full (if it's not we don't get the expedite). That's about our only means of direct feedback, and we're using it.
* Our faults team are reporting missed appointments to our Business Improvements team for the same reasons as listed above.
I hope this reassures you that we do take this very seriously and are doing all we can to push back - there are regular conference calls held for both provisioning and faults, during which these issues are pushed on and any fresh examples raised.

Another correction - fibre appointments will be fed back to Wholesale first (but the expedite notes I believe are still passed on through them to Openreach).
