Re: how many times can plusnet cancel an appointment?

@PeterLoftus seeing you feel the need to post a link and join in, Please feel free to show me what rules I`ve broken. I`ve asked many many times, But NOBODY has shown me as of yet.
i have already seen the rules thankyou, which i found after having to hunt for them as they are not easy to find. why am i only being redirected to the forum rules AFTER i have been accused of breaking those rules. maybe if they were made easier to find then people would read those rules before posting and then prevent this from happening. as the saying goes, prevention is better than cure.
also, im unsure how much attention should be paid to these rules as clearly the staff members are completely disregarding and breaking the forum rules themselves. surely the rules are there for everyone to abide by, not a select few cherry picking which rules apply to them. as previously stated, i have had it confirmed by plusnet themselves, that their own members of staff are breaking the rules and should not be doing this.
after all of this i am still no closer to answers for any of the questions i have repeatedly asked (both via pm and on here). how many times do i have to ask before i actually get a response that answers my questions, or is it not going to happen? if any questions are not going to be answered, at least have the decency to say that you are refusing to answer them
what i can confirm is that this thread has had a lot of views, nearly 1,000 so far, could this be the reason why i am being stone walled?
regarding the last comment from a CSR, yes i have received and requested a mac code, and as was clearly stated numerous times to customer services, i WILL be cancelling my account when i have finished using the telephone line and internet that i have already paid for. to cancel after paying for these services does not benefit me, only plusnet, so why would i do that? to that end, it seems ridiculous that an engineer appointment has been booked, knowing this would be happening. it will be another wasted appointment (even if they turned up which i doubt), which could potentially be used for someone that actually wants to continue with plusnets services. also, why does it take me to ring plusnet to find out of this appointment. if i did not ring customer services, then i would have had no idea that an engineer was coming, and would have come home from work with a little missed appointment card through the door.

Found them in five minutes. I'm not an expert you need a moderator like Oldjim for that Smiley
Posting Rules
Spamming is the act of posting multiple responses that add little to the ongoing discussion, this will not be tolerated.
Cross-Posting of the same issue across more than one thread should not occur.
Some threads will deviate from the original topic or discussion, this is accepted. Purposely posting something unrelated to the discussion or posting off-topic responses is not permitted. This rule is more relaxed in the Chit Chat board.

It took you five minutes to find the rules. Clearly there is problem. You shouldnt need to speed five minutes hunting for them. They should be the first thing you see.
So like I`ve said SHOW ME, IT CANT BE THAT HARD

Re: how many times can plusnet cancel an appointment?

Well!  As a start your last few posts are "off topic" and are only discussing forum rules and etiquette  and not your original complaint?
You have a very valid case that I do sympathise with but it has now turned more into a Troll like rant losing you sympathy with each post.
Read and absorb the rules and get back to the core of the thread.
Start a new thread if you really need to for debate on the Forum rules.

Re: how many times can plusnet cancel an appointment?

As per your conversation earlier today with Plusnet's Head of Customer Service you've made it clear to us that you do not wish to continue with your fibre order, therefore we'll ensure this order is stopped. You may receive some emails confirming this, however these are automated emails and can be ignored.
On the call you've also requested that you want no one from Plusnet to call you, this has been clearly noted on your account.

How soon are you intending to cancel your account? I presume you are aware that the MAC is issued by BT Wholesale (not Plusnet) and is only valid for a month.

Also, don't just cancel your service without moving to another provider and using your MAC code or you may end up being liable for a cessation charge which is levied on a connection when it is cut off rather than transferred to another provider.

Re: how many times can plusnet cancel an appointment?

@jelv 23rd March as i`m paid uptil then, I was aware that it was valid for a month, But thanks for the heads up.
@DomS Looks like im off to Sky anyway especially now they do self-installs for fibre. Just had a look round their forums, seems pretty straight forward to do a self-install. Worst case senario i`ll keep on adsl and it`s free for a year. Again thanks for the heads up.
@Maurice If you`ve read the entire thread, you`ll see the point being that we`ve asked for questions to be answered, Im being accused of spamming, and Plusnet have been asked so many times to explain whats happening. Im not the only person on this thread whos asked for Plusnet to explain why. It might seem off-topic but the point is, it aint off topic. They`ve said im breaking rules, But they wont stump up the answers. Im not taking a pop at you or any other people who have contributed to this thread, But one thing is clear. Plusnet staff/Plusnet the company/Mods on here literally refuse to answer any question. I asked 2 days ago for an explanation, In reality I know Im not going to get it anymore. When you consider the amount of money I`ve lost due to setting up childcare to cover for insalls, that were missed/cancelled/never booked in the first place is unreal. I cant get the money back if I cancel the childcare. the original point of this thread was to see how many times can cancel, I`ve lost count now, it`s either 7 or 8. At no point have Plusnet actually admitted that they were at fault. It was always somebody elses fault, Even when they failed to even book appointments. You cant deny that when it gets to 7/8 missed install, and costs of childcare keep adding up, its time to cut ties, But still demand answers. It was pointed out earlier that even if they actually admitted they had messed this switch-over up, they could still keep my custom and we would come to some type of deal, even that they refused to do.
@anyone interested I`d still like to see how many other people have had there appointments cancelled. I was originally told, its rare for installs to go wrong. At least its stuck in a single thread it`ll give other/future customers a real picture of whats happening and not go hunting round. I believe thats why this thread has become popular in such a short space of time. Im not here to sour your experience but I won't recommend Plusnet, Especially after being pleased with the customer service people and network performance for the previous 2 years, then turning loyal customers against them. (I`ve even given routers etc to people to get onto the Plusnet network, got my neighbour to swap over and members of my family and friends to swap.)

I think you'd get a pretty skewed result asking these questions on a support forum. A majority of customers seem to join the forums when they have issues so the majority of the 700,000+ Plusnet customers don't tend to make an appearance and are more than likely very happy with their service / installation.
As for the spamming, while you've not been as voracious as some former (and sometimes quite memorable) disgruntled customers, you have been posting on other peoples threads with links back to your own problem - a notable one was the £50 cashback where you linked to your unrelated thread. From previous experience, Moderators have to nip this in the bud otherwise the threads get confusing for both the original poster/customer and the Staff member who is trying to help. We've had instances where the original poster didn't get their issue solved as another customer effectively took over the post and confused everybody.
The rules tend to be rigorously enforced and if you spot something that has slipped through (not every post is read by a Moderator - they have lives outside here too Wink ) then you can always report it as potentially having an issue with the report post function.
Good luck with the move to Sky - I was with them for a bit many moons ago and their customer service (and lies) put me off ever going with them again - I won't even have their television now. A bit awkward at times as my sister works for them .......

Re: how many times can plusnet cancel an appointment?

I havent added all the details, Plusnet offered me the £50 cashback thats why it was linked back to me. If I put all the stuff thats happened, The opening post would be a monster.  Even Plusnet might confirm that the account is a mess now, it takes quiet a while for CSR to read the notes. But the cashback offer was offered to me, And they might be able to confirm it was. Incase anyone calls B/S. But on a side note, Thank-you. Someone on here who actually linked back with an explanation and a reason. Thats all I asked of mods/Plusnet.

Re: how many times can plusnet cancel an appointment?

Be careful using the word "Cancel" when talking to Plusnet CSC or Provisioning. They have been known, on more than one occasion, to take it literally and a customer's service has stopped, including the phone, within hours.
There's also an amusing link in jelv's sig that may make you smile a little bit, but as far as cancelled/non-existent appointments go, it does happen , but when you consider how many customers Plusnet has, it's not that many, however

You can claim for your costs as a result, I'm surprised jelv hasn't posted his regular link for you, he must know it off by heart.
