New MBORC Declared
Parts of the UK were hit with severe weather over the Bank Holiday weekend of 26 & 27 May 2018 and into this week, with lightning storms and heavy rain. This has resulted in damage to our network, with fault rates in the affected areas at very high levels and mobility challenges for our engineers.
Openreach has therefore declared MBORC (Matter Beyond Our Reasonable control) for repair activities in the following areas, with effect from 23:59 30 May 2018:
- Birmingham and Black Country
- Coventry
- Crayford
Likely customer impact in the areas where MBORC has been declared will include extended repair lead-times, unavailability of repair appointments lower availability of provision appointments, suspension of provision expedite appointments and increased response times when contacting Openreach service centres
