Adding HP printer to my wifi

My wife has had to buy a new HP printer (Model ENVY 6032), and I'm having problems connecting it to my wifi. Somehow I need it to know the identity of the wifi. Also I need to be able to detect it on my Netgear router (Model N300 or DGN2200v4) - I was logged into routerlogin.com which is the Netgear s/w on my pc, searching for the printer but routerlogin seemed to time out after a while (it was working but then it wasn't), so I logged out then logged in again. The login failed, so I have tried rebooting my pc, and my modem but I still cannot log in to routerlogin.com. I have tried diagnostics, and it states that routerlogin.com is there but not responding.
1. Does routerlogin stay logged into my pc at the Netgear end, so I have to wait until Netgear clears it? If so how long does that take?
2. Once I'm into routerlogin.com, how do I search for the printer wifi signal so I can tell the router that the printer needs to be accepted?
3. How do I tell the printer the identity of my wifi so that it connects to mine and not to my neighbours?
Thanks for any help

Hi @MisterW
I have looked at what you sent from my pc. It is the same guide as she has as a hard copy which came with her printer. We have followed the guide on her pc to the point where it tells us to download 123.hp.com, but have found we are also having problems now with my wifes pc. It is connected to the router via the wifi, whereas my pc is connected via a cable. My wifes pc seems to be unable to access anything on the web, whereas my pc can access most things okay, the exception being the routerlogin.com thing.
This means when my wife tries to download the 123.hp.com link she gets the message that 123.hp.com took too long to respond. We are trying a reboot of her pc, and powering her new printer off in case that has caused the link to the web part of her problem.
Will update you asap
Regards

Hi @MisterW ,
Have got the routerlogin.com working again (for how long?). My wife had used her phone to add the details of the wifi to the new printer. I had already deleted the old printer from the router, and now routerlogin.com is working, the new printer was 'visible' on the list of connected equipments but was 'blocked'. I don't remember what the old printer had for an IP address, and when I allowed the new printer, the router accepted it and gave it an IP address which may have been the same one that the old printer had. Anyway, my wifes pc wont access the internet now because it states that there are two equipments with the same IP address and that we should check the Windows System event log - any idea where that is? This little problem is preventing seeing if she can now use the new printer.
Regards

Thanks for that Jonpe. Slight problem - when I go into Control Panel, there isn't a System And Security. There is a System, but that doesn't mention Security or Administrative Tools or View Event Logs. Am I looking at the wrong Control Panel? Is there one I don't know about? I'd be interested to know.
However, an update. I went on my wife's laptop (the computer not... well you know) and when I looked at Printers I found her old printer still listed so I deleted it. That had the result that I could see her laptop in the Attached Devices list on the router s/w. Her laptop was 'blocked', but the router allowed me to 'allow' her laptop and 'apply' it. That solved the problem of her not being able to access the internet, so I was able to download HP's printer installation s/w, and I was able to get the new printer working too, so Happy Days.
Thanks very much to both MisterW and Jonpe

I'm still using Win7 so I don't know if it's changed in later versions, but try right-clicking 'Computer' and select 'Manage'.
Edit: To find 'Event Viewer' and logs.
