Tried for days to connect my tp-link RE550 extender to my new plus.net 2 hub. Find the extender on the tether app via the cloud but extender keeps coming up with no Internet connection. I've even plugged it in beside the hub with a short ethernet cable but there is no result. Worked instantly with my old BT hub. I reset the extender to factory settings a nd restarted the hub. No joy.

Just a thought, @Rufusbear . Try temporarily disabling the 5Ghz band on the Hub, install the extender and try it. If it works, re-enable the 5Ghz.

Have you tried using WPS to sync the two devices together?
