New Router - Secure Connection message

I have got a new WIFI router... which is working well, however, on a couple of sites I get this message.

secure connection failed message.png

I have been going through the System settings and came across this page

tp link port management.png

Should I " Enable" Local Management via HTTPS   ?  as most sites now have https in the URL.

Re: New Router - Secure Connection message

I suspect the secure connection warning might be a browser thing rather than your new router @shutter .

I checked the address shown in your post to see if I got the same message and I didn't, but I'd advise you to turn your webcam off if visiting that site otherwise you'll never know if any, ahem, 'blackmail scam' emails you might receive in the future are genuine or just bluffs!  Cheesy

Fix

@shutter The router page you have shown is for local management of the router by HTTPS, so nothing to do with dodgy external websites.

Re: New Router - Secure Connection message

@RobPN Thanks for that.   The link was passed to me by a (so-called) friend, as he knows my hobby is photography.  Glad you spotted it.. so I`ll black list it any way.  He said it was to do with selling pics online.

Big OOOPS ! methinks. Embarrassed

@RealAleMadrid   OK  will leave the settings as "default" then,... and judging by what @RobPN  posted... just as well I didn`t go there !. Shocked

Re: New Router - Secure Connection message

@RobPN   &  @RealAleMadrid   & anyone else...

So called "friend" has be suitably castigated.... he said it was a joke.... but it has cost him dearly, as he has agreed to an evening out, at a chinese restaurant..... All Expenses Paid....  taxi there, the meal and drinks, and taxi home afterwards.

RESULT ! ! !  Cheesy
