Questions about URLs

Is there anyone here who has seen a URL which is very long, and appears to have a time-limit built into the URL. In other words, the URL is not a permanent link.

And may also be limited to a specific connection.

Re: Questions about URLs

Reset password links tend to expire within a short timeframe.

Re: Questions about URLs

It definitely wasn't a password reset request.

It was a link to a document at Companies House.

Re: Questions about URLs

@greygit1 Would like to add, these links are common all over the internet, the images you see on instagram? they have a fingerprint and other data, and expire after a certain amount of time, the actual url of the youtube video your watching, same premise
