I know how to do it myself, but want to tell a friend how, and prefer to quote an authorised version than my own.
Can anyone aid my memory with a link? Please!

No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.

Not there (allowing for aged eyes). The part I really want is how long should be allowed from disconnection in Gui to switch off and to switch on. This is so the turning off if the router is disregarded as a fault by DLM.

Because it's a soft disconnection from Plusnet, I don't think BT would count it as a hard fail (no data loss).
I'd switch it off after a minute, maybe two.

If you have "disconnected" on the GUI..... then you are "not connected".... switching off the router will have ( should not have ).... any effect on the BT side...... Generally, I leave it switched off for 3 minutes before switching back on , and "auto" re-connecting.... use this to change over gateway, when Speed tester shows I have a lousy speed....
