Using DSLstats on Archer VR600 modem router

Anyone figured out whether it is possible to access the telnet interface on this box?

Re: Using DSLstats on Archer VR600 modem router

The problem is dslstats has had no new versions since 2018 so any of the newer devices may not work.

I did some research last year when I was trying to setup a VR400 and found this

Re: Using DSLstats on Archer VR600 modem router

@Dan - thanks for that. As you say a long thread, which I haven't had the chance to read yet.

I have managed to access the VR600, not using DSL stats just via the command line interface, and execute some of the basic telnet commands but that's all so far. Not all of the commands produced a response.

Since TP link feature the TR-069 capability in their selling spiel I am assuming they havn't locked it out.

More likely, since I don't yet understand all the CWMP settings on the VR600, I'm not yet providing all the access info that DSLstats needs. I was also surprised to find no references to how to use TR-069 on the TP link Community or Knowledge-base pages.

I'll keep plugging away.

Re: Using DSLstats on Archer VR600 modem router

@BobR1

I would not worry at all about CWMP as this is used by ISP to administer a device and being a non plusnet supplied device they won't be.

CWMP Settings

CWMP (CPE WAN Management Protocol, also called TR-069) allows Auto-Configuration Server (ACS) to perform auto-configuration, provision, connection, and diagnostics to this device. You may configure this function under your ISP's instructions.

After login into the VR600 using telnet type help, this will provided the commands available.

adsl show info shows connection stats.

I believe reading the thread I quoted the telnet login level is restricted which might explain the lack of detail.

BTW you need to use @Dan_the_Van if you mention me in a post.
