Well I'm back again with another tasty EOD - only two days since my last stint in the editors chair! For the starter, A GREAT thing has happened since then, but Mand already covered the topic in her random link yesterday so check that EOD if you'd like to know more. Suffice to say - make mine a double! And now the main course: Here's Nick with some tasty Customer Support morsels
Well, it seems as though things are finally returning to normal again today after the week of snow. The switch to a bit of sunshine has been a welcome one too – although ice on the roof has been thawing all day, which has made it rain outside our windows here in the CSC. It's nice to know that the walk home won't be quite so treacherous, though. I slipped over more times last week than I care to mention. Things here in the CSC seem to be settling into their normal rhythm again, anyway: 1) Lots and lots of people calling to get help setting up broadband at the beginning of this week. Personally, I've not had so many calls about routers with the wrong instructions, which is a good sign. Still, we're always here to help out if you get stuck! 2) We've had a lot of calls from people checking which product they're on. Quite a few of you out there are on some of our older products still, so we've been saving you pennies where we can. Always a good idea to keep an eye on this on the website. 3) Sales! It's good to be at Plusnet at the moment, as people keep calling for information on what we offer. It's nice to chat to people who have only just found out about us, and work out what's best for them. They too seem happier to see a bit of sun I think! 4) Provisioning. Lots of calls from people eager to get up and running. Things are going pretty smoothly in general at the moment with this, so all is good. 5) Less than normal when it comes to faults today I think. A few speed issues caused by the connection dropping frequently for some customers, and the odd no sync fault too. Maybe we just got used to last week, when faults calls shot up (probably due to the snow) and now we're back to regular territory I reckon – touch wood. Did I mention it's nice to see the sun?
Just a quick feed today, here's Colin with the web team flavoured dessert
Hmm, the Web Team has been a flurry of activity throughout the day, with many people working on project work. For those of us not working on project work, we've been doing the following: Phil - Account Change stuff, hindering James with his rollout, Code Reviews Nick - Well today has been more updating and bugfixing support pages, as well as helping Duffy with some Problem testing. Dan - Problems, Investigation in to a new project and setting up my alpha box ready for it, and playing with wizard setups. James - Problem Development and testing Duffy - Problem fixing Colin - Fixing more things for Usertools, and fixing some problems with our CSC.
Told you it was short, I'd like to think it was sweet though. Ta-ta for now readers!
