Broadband issues and double line rental since April

Hello. My currently Broadband is out of contract is this why it no longer works? As I am still paying since April and I have been charged double line rental since then to ? Please help

@steverobs2017 If you are out of contract, then you will be paying the standard charge, and your service will continue at this higher rate until or or unless you negotiate a new deal.

You say 'is this why it no longer works?' In what way? - as said above - it should continue without interruption, but for the higher cost.

Line rental x 2 is now normal? My broadband/phone line does not work. Has not worked for some time now

Are you saying that your latest bill is listing line rental on it twice both with positive amounts against them?

I should also add that the reason that both @jab1 and I have said to report a phone fault is that Broadband (other than Full Fibre) will not work fully is there are issues with your phone line.  This might be slow, intermittent or not working at all.  The first job is to get the phone line sorted then 99 times out of 100 the broadband will also be sorted.

Thanks for help both. Yes line rental twice each month . Around £30 in total. Can't be correct. Only just seen back to April and it's been the same since then. Broadband is just a constant flashing orange. I will report fault. Thank u

That seems odd, both it appearing twice and the amounts.  From the top of my head Line Rental should be around £26 if there aren't any discounts.  I'm on Full Fibre, so don't have it on my bill to check.

A screen shot of page 3 of the invoice, or whichever gives the breakdown of charges, would be interesting, and probably informative.

Sorry I'm not sure how to screenshot them. But I managed to get an engineer appt. Yesterday . Took the afternoon off work. But the engineer didn't turn up. So awaiting plusnets update. Also I'm assuming I won't be paying my bill until the issues are resolved.

I'm a little confused. Why would you need an engineer for what appears to be an accounts issue?
