Can I Turn Router off for 2 weeks?

I'm going on hols soon, and wanted to know would it be ok to turn the router off (leaving modem on) as the Asus router I have has blue lights all over the place and I don't want it attracting people to open curtains at night?? thanks

Not a problem - I'd suggest turning the modem off as well.

That's true normally, but for an extended period it shouldn't cause any issues.

Just to add, it's turning the modem (or router depending on the type of connection) off and on repeatedly, rather than leaving it powered off for an extended period that could cause the speed profile to decrease.

I have just come back from my holiday after two weeks switched my router back on and there was no problems in less than no time I was back on line if anything my speeds are up for some reason.

That must have been a relief !  My Snr went down the drain after 3hrs off for main supply maintenance by the power company. Not back after a week back on!

I thought the router was the modem ?

Not on FTTC - you have a separate modem (BT supplied) and router (PN supplied).
