Can I get new router login details?

I bought a home mesh system to boost the WiFi signals in parts of my home where the signal struggled to reach. It was simple enough to setup however I do have a concern.
The mesh extender boosts the signal via Ethernet (as additional access points) which is great since the black spot areas have Ethernet however, in order to set up the mesh in the first place it required me to disconnect my own router, plug this mesh in its place then give the mesh my plusnet router login details. It then connected to the internet whereby I was then able switch the mode from router to Access point.
Should I be concerned that the mesh now has my login details in it?
I would be happier if I could have a new login to be honest.

@Jcdek Not quite sure if I follow how your mesh system is set up, is it one of these new fangled ones that need to have an internet connection so it can be accessed using a phone app? I just don't understand the logic of this, just makes it all more complex.
Anyway which part of your set up is performing the PPPoE connection to Plusnet using the username and password? Sounds like it isn't the mesh if it is access point mode, so is the mesh main unit connected to a router? In which case the router will have the username and password info and it is not needed in the mesh unit so just delete it if you think it's a problem.
When you got the mesh unit on the internet I assume you connected it to an Openreach or other modem ( or maybe an FTTP ONT), you do realise you can run the Mesh in router mode and not need a separate router. Maybe you need the router for other things.
In any case some part of your system will have to have the login details stored in it, I don't see why you are concerned, the login info would be password protected so not freely available.
As for new login details, how would that help? It's not possible anyway, the username is based on your account name which can't be changed, all you can do is change the password.

Thanks for the reply RealAleMadrid,
My router is performing the PPPoE connection to plusnet. The mesh system I bought has a built in router so can be used as a replacement for a normal router but I only wanted to use it in access mode connected to my normal router (which I prefer).
My concern really revolves around the fact that the mesh router has my Plusnet login details stored in it now (due to the initial setup process) and to access the mesh units I have to use an app on my phone to do so. Could the manufacturer of my mesh system gain access to my network as they have my login information?
If the answer to that is no then I won't worry about it.

@Jcdek I guessed it was some stupid App based set up system on the mesh. I don't think your Plusnet account details would enable any access to your local network. As I said in my other post why not just remove the details from the mesh unit as it doesn't need them any more. I assume you can still get access to the Mesh set up, I may be wrong about that.🤔

If you are worried about a third party having access to your log in details and the mesh is set up then why not change your Plusnet password?
