Cant use plusnet unless i use a vpn

i cant use my plusnet unless i connect to a VPN as you can see from this video my speeds are fine when using a VPN but with out a vpn my seeds can drop to .5 . Pluss net have sent out 3 engineers and they tell me it fine then leave but as you can see its not .Well i will be leaving today if this is not sorted as im out of contract

@Axman, do you have any other devices to try a speedtest from? Something to try is changing the server that you are doing the speedtest on when you are not connected to Plusnet. I can see the server it picks is different for each of those 2 tests.
Your Plusnet connection can perform at least as well as you are seeing over the VPN, as that VPN is running over the Plusnet connection. Are you noticing your connection being slower, or is it just based off your Speedtest results?

Hi i have tried it on my wife laptop on my phone on my wifes phone on my TV. on a wired connection on wifi and its all the same. if i dont us a VPN my connections can be as low as .5 meg sometimes it will start at 30 pluss meg then drop and drops till it get to aroud 5-7meg but can be as low as .5 meg . if i use a VPN i get 45-50 meg. I have tried using 7 - 10 defferant Speed test sites speedtest.btwholesale.com/ .speedtest.net/ fast.com/ all are the same . but the fact i cant load websites or website dont load compleatly unless i use a VPN .

What router are you using? Have you tried a different router to rule that out?
I wondering if it could be an MTU issue, but they aren't my strong point. Hopefully someone else could advise on that, or offer any other suggestions.

On the Hub One Home page http://192.168.1.254 under My Services is your Broadband username being displayed or setup@plusdsl.net?
If setup@ you need to Navigate to Settings >Broadband (you need to disconnect before changing the username) enter your details. <yourusername>@plusdsl.net and your password.
Navigate from the Home Screen to Troubleshooting > Helpdesk lines 5 to 11 are your line stats, what are they?
Are you changing any of the default settings on your Hub? If so what are they?

@Dan_the_Van, if it was a sync issue then VPN wouldn't speed it up. Good call on the username though. It could be that the VPN is bypassing the shaping on the profile for the setup@ user.

iv just looked and it is set to amxen@plusdsl.net . iv not changed it at any time but the Plusnet Access Control: is saying Disabled . dont know if that makes any difference

@amxen - can you reboot your router and let me know if it's any better? Complete shot in the dark but I've made an amendment to your network routing and I'm interested to know if it's helped.
