Cease on the line...weeks after no issues?

Hi everyone,

Hoping for a bit of advice on potential downtime as this feels like a bit of a weird issue.

Did a home move that was completed about three weeks ago with no problems, the occasional drop in download speed (on average getting between 40-50mbs) but from late last week it went down to 5mbs at best and today it's been between 0.5 - 2mbs.

Spoke with Plusnet who said there's a cease on the line and they're investigating but might take a couple of days but does anyone have any advice of who else I might be able to speak to? There's a Truespeed fibre box in the property but I'm not 100% if that's who the previous tenants used.

Bit nervous as I had something similar with TalkTalk some years ago and it was an absolute nightmare.

Many thanks

@duncsvoice That makes about as much sense as saying the moon is made of cream cheese. If you had a successful move and you had an established service 'about three weeks ago' - how can there be a cease on the line - which in any case would not lead to your connection speed falling to the stupid figures you quote for today - the service would just stop.

I suggest you get back to them and ask for a truthful answer from someone not making it up as they go along.

Thanks...did strike me as a bit weird as the home move went without a hitch on the day.

Very odd, will see what they come back with. I suspect it'll miraculously fix itself at some point!

Be  interesting to see what the next excuse is.
