External ip

Hi, is there anyway to find out my external IP from the Plusnet portal? I haven't had chance to setup ddns and I'm not currently home to get it. Thanks.

I'm not sure if there's a way to get it on the Portal, but if you go to https://whatismyipaddress.com/ you'll be able to find it.

Thanks for the response but I'm not home at the moment so was looking at a way of finding it. What's my IP only works from the location you want the ip of.

@sdarby As @Jaggies says, you cannot get it from the Portal, and as you say, WhatsmyIP (or similar) will only give you the IP of the connection you currently have.

This information might also available on your router when you are at home.

On my Plusnet Hub 2, if I go to Advanced Settings > Broadband I can see my "Broadband IP address" under "TCP/IP information".
