and is the router is connected directly to the DSL socket ?

Apologies! It’s one socket and we are using the filter

Are you sure that is the Master socket ?

If there is a filtered master socket elsewhere and the socket you are using is an extension, then there will be no broadband signal at that socket

Is there someone at home who could take a photo of the socket, we could probably determine if its the master

Hello everyone, this was 100% a case of me being an idiot.

I was using the filter when in fact I had two sockets, one for open reach fibre and the other for the phone line. 

Apologies for wasting everyones time!
