Re: Flashing Orange

@tina12 Welcome to the forums. Providing the cable plugs securely into the socket, and there is no obvious damage to either the cable or DSL socket, try rebooting the Hub - use a paper clip or similar in the 'reset' hole on the back/bottom of the Hub until the light goes green, then give it five minutes  or so to reconfigure.

Re: Flashing Orange

I’ve just tried this it went green and is now flashing orange again. The wire has slotted back into the socket so I cant see any visible damage yet still not connecting

Re: Flashing Orange

It is possible pulling it out without using the little 'release tab' on the connector has damaged the inside of the connection, in which case you will need a new cable - they are not repairable.

Re: Flashing Orange

Fix

Then I am afraid it sounds like the actual socket is damaged, which will need an OpenReach visit which you will have to arrange via Plusnet tomorrow, which they may charge you for. Is your Master socket a 'Master Socket 5c' with a 'Mark4' faceplate? If so, try unclipping the faceplate and reseating it.

@tina12

If it's newish Master socket then it'll have a test socket behind the face plate. Take said plate off and plug directly into this (not forgetting the filter).
