Hope this now remains stable for you. If that PSU is emitting detrimental RFI it is probably heading towards total failure.

@Madeleyite, Hi and good morning.
Just had a look at your service it is showing that the stability to standard order has completed as of 27/01.
Glad to see the that the speeds remain good and there's no more drop outs, no thanks to everyone who has took part.
It is usually best to leave the stability option as standard unless issues do arise so as long as all is well I will not tinker.
Please let us know if you need anything further!

Thanks for confirming the switch has been done. It's looking hopeful but I'll leave it another week or so before calling the thread 'Fixed'.
Thanks to all for their input. 🙂

There is still something not quite right here.
It is unusual to have a download sync at 66Mbps but the corresponding upload sync only achieve 10.4Mbps.
It's as if there is some still interference knocking a hole in the modem's VDSL upload tone bins, causing a low sync.
@Dan_the_Van is there some way of displaying the Hub Two's VDSL tone bins ?
as seeing a graph of the bits per bin might show a big hole somewhere which might give a clue to the frequency of any possible interference and therefore help identify any external noise sources that radiate at those frequencies.

There’s still plenty of kit near the phone line to be a venerable source of RFI.

Can RouterStats be used with the Hub Two ?
as RouterStats can display tone info from remote Telnet queries with compatible modems/routers.

Both Hub One and Two do not have telnet enabled for connections, for reference routerstats for the Hub One scrapes the data from the Hubs Helpdesk page.

Thanks for the pointer re there is still some interference. There is one more thing that I can do (tomorrow) and that is to reroute the DSL cable.
It currently goes to the right of the master socket taking it closer to the Belkin 8-way power adapter before rising up behind it, where there are power cables it gets entangled with. These power cables are for my HP desktop pc, Benq monitor, Epson printer, 30w sound bar and the Hub Two.
I intend to route it to the left of the master socket taking it away from the Belkin 8-way power adapter before rising up to the Hub Two on my desk above. There will then only be the printer and Hub power cables that it may come close to so should be less RFI.
I'll report back.

While you are doing that, try getting a snapshot of your router's DSL stats, when the DSL cable is plugged in to the master socket "TEST" connector (behind the removable faceplate filter).
See this video if you need any help - YouTube : How to Connect into the Master Test Socket
Ideally use a short RJ11 to BT431A cable (perhaps borrowed from a landline phone ?)
or use an in-line phone filter (that came with your router) to convert your RJ11 to RJ11 cable to fit the TEST socket.
Doing this will check the possibility that your faceplate filter might be impairing your line stats, and confirm that there are no wires attached to the back of the removable faceplate.

I have now rerouted the DSL cable away from all power sources except for the printer power supply cable that crosses it at one cross over point. This is unavoidable.
I was unable to do those tests you suggested because I don't have the correct cables or DSL filters. I got rid of the filters when I had the new master socket fitted.
The DSL cable is firmly taped into place at the master socket so it can't move but the master socket itself is still a possible suspect since I've isolated the DSL cable from RFI as much as I can.
I'll leave things a week to settle down/stabilise again and report back then.

I just realised that I could also move the 8-way Belkin power adapter to the right by 10cm taking it further away from the DSL cable so I may do that as well if you think it will help.

Something being and remaining powered up does not infer constant loading / current draw. My worst case was CCTV IR illuminators - come dusk they would start drawing current and push the PSU into overload … crippling the ADSL connection.

FYI - I have moved the 8-way Belkin power adapter 10cm to the right so that's all I can do for now. I'll monitor the Hub Two stats over the next week and hope for no more dropouts.

Have you traced the entire length of the incoming telephone cable to where it enters the house ?
and ensured that there aren't nearby electrical devices anywhere along the route on either side of the wall(s).
