That wound be fine if the devices were compliant with the standard. Given the improvements you’ve seen by increasing the cable distances, it would be fair to infer that one or more devices are not compliant with the BS standard.

The quoted reference also refers to Low Voltage not mains voltage.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Understood. I am happy with the speeds now and up to now stability has been fine with no dropouts. I just posted for information purposes only. I'll leave the room now. Just thought it useful to know.

I believe the BS 6701 applies for voltages below 300v AC. See photo copied from Computer Active magazine.

I have had degraded switched current PSUs blast RFI over several metres.

I think that the standard refers simply to the proximity of clean power cables, which would be quite reasonable.

Thank you for clarifying the LV reference to be sub 300V.

Do not leave the room all input is helpful, though I do not think in context the standard challenges your history. The excellent work you did in moving the PSUs appears to have delivered a marked improvement in stability and performance.
