Hub has detected a problem with my internet connection

Hi, after ordering broadband on the 21/10 we finally got a message after 22:00 tonight to say our broadband is good to go. So we've turned on the router and it just flashes orange and when we turn on our devices we get a message saying our hub has detected a problem with our internet connection. Tried rebooting and factory resetting etc but no luck. Any help gratefully received. It's very frustrating.

@KrazyyOne Welcome to the forums. Are all cables fully home?

OK. I don't think this could be the issue, but is the username in the format of 'myusername@plusdsl.net'?

I am not using a user name at the moment it is a case of logging into the local 192 network and the router cannot see internet.

I don't quite understand that. If you are logged into the Hub (Hub2, presumably), what is the username displayed on the picture below?

Re: Hub has detected a problem with my internet connection

@KrazyyOne is the router connected to your master socket   ?

Do you have a dual socket ?

Have a look at the Troubleshooting help here https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/connection-troubleshooting/

@jab1 if its flashing orange, it's got no dsl sync, the username won't matter yet. It will be setup@plusdsl.netbanyway as it's not been able to auto configure

The router is connected to the socket where previous router was

Re: Hub has detected a problem with my internet connection

@KrazyyOne But is it an old style single socket, or the current Master socket 5C with a Mk.4 faceplate?

Re: Hub has detected a problem with my internet connection

So it is a 5C/Mk.4 . What 'line' is missing?

Re: Hub has detected a problem with my internet connection

@jab1 The line that signifies it's a master socket. Spoke to someone from plusnet who suggested doing what you said earlier on about user name but that either hangs on connecting or disconnects

Don't suppose you could post a photograph, I'm still a little confused?

@KrazyyOne

Going back to step 1, have you got a telephone dial tone?
