After purchasing a corded phone to do some testing it turns out we have a fault on the line. Engineer coming on Wednesday.
Big thanks for everyones help and suggestions. Great community here.

Illustrates so clearly how a cheap telephone handset can cut through hours of fruitless investigations. Possession of a handset ought to be mandatory, irrespective of any desire to make phone calls.
@KrazyyOne Did you try the handset in all of the sockets to see if there was a dial tone anywhere?
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
