I've just had my fibre install put in by Openreach today and was expecting to see around 300 Mbps download on a speed test with a direct ethernet connection to the router. However I'm getting no more than around 96 Mbps max.
Doing a bit of digging, the status page on the router shows WAN link speed: 100 Mbps. And the Information page on the Technical log shows Data rate: 100 Mbps / 100 Mbps
I've tried multiple different Cat 5e cables and a Cat 6 to link the hub to the ONT box but still see the same value
I'm suspicious that I'm getting near to 100 Mbps because the hub thinks it's only got a 100 Mbps connection to the ONT. Should the link speed and data rates definitely show 1000 if a Cat 5e/6 cable is used?
