IP refresh

Hi,

I am considering switching to Plus Net domestic broadband and I have a question regarding IP’s. My current provider, Virgin Media, refreshes my IP every 12 to 18 months. My work server is locked down, and access to SSH/FTP is limited to my own IP.  My questions are

1. Is there an option to get a static IP for domestic broadband 

2. If not, how often do IP’s refresh.

(1) Static IPs are no longer offered by Plusnet.

(2) The way PN allocate IPs means they are 'sticky', in that if you do lose DSL for any reason, the chances are you will come back on the same one, unless there is a long gap from losing DSL to regaining it.
