"We are sorry to inform you that we have identified a pending cease on your line to stop your services, and it has delayed your order. This may have been placed by either your current provider or the previous occupants of your property. This order will be completed on 26/07/24 which will stop us from placing a new order for you. If possible, please contact the current provider to try and cancel this cease order so we can place your order earlier, if this is not possible, we'll wait for the order to be completed before we take over your line."
I have asked for my broadband (only) to be moved to my new home on the 27/07/2024 but due to the cease line by the previous owner I continue to receive emails advising the above...
My problem is, I am unable to stop the cease line by the previous owner (can't contact them directly) but require my internet to be available a couple of days after for work. Has anyone else experienced this & how long was the delay to actually being set up at your new home?
I thought by giving plenty of notice it would be ok to go, but here I am!
Thanks in advance for your responses

They won't actually be able to place an order until the cease has completed - so presumably on the 27th. There won't be an active line to take over, so there shouldn't be the usual 14 day delay - but it could still take a few days to activate it (depending on how firmly Plusnet push).
I would investigate 4G as a backup.

@minamongoose The cease should clear after (IIRC) ten days from it being placed - do you by any chance know when it was initiated? It appears it will clear on the 26th, and your service should then, again to my knowledge, be available within 10 days (depending on OR engineer availability.
