Is the new house on the same exchange - if so you should be able to keep your number.
You will need to go through the home move process with Plusnet - see https://portal.plus.net/movinghome/?source=membercentre
The important thing is that if your phone is not provided by Plusnet you need to arrange for that to be moved first. When you do that you must ask for a Simultaneous Provide Code. When you contact Plusnet you must give them that code. If you don't follow that process you will be without broadband for about 5 working days.
Edit: It's also crucial that you get this all ordered at least 10 working days before the move for it all to happen on the day.

Not sure if the house is on the same exchnage as we not got the keys yet, but the house is like a 10 min walk down the road, I think the exchange is by there somewere.
also what is the "Simultaneous Provide" and were do I get this. but I don;t mind been without the net for 5 days tho. cos we going to be busy anyway.
how can I find out if we are on the same exchnage, I am with the PostOffice Phone, so can I ring them and ask.

If there is already a phone in the new house and you know it's number use http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome to find out the exchange. If you don't know the number use http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/ADSLChecker.AddressOutput.
Simultaneous Provide is where the phone and broadband are activated at the same time. If you don't go that route you have to get the phone working first and then the broadband order can be placed which takes at least 5 days. It's possible that the broadband will remain active on your old number for that time and may prevent someone moving in getting broadband themselves.
I've moved twice in the last 15 months using simultaneous provide and it worked perfectly each time (my phone is with BT).
