No BTWholesale?

Just a general question, if anyone has any ideas.

Since my upgrade from Hub1 to Hub 2 there's a Broadband Speed test ¦[Test my speed] button

Sometimes this wouks and I get the old BTWholesale test screen, and can then run the speed tests from there

however

On about 50% of the times I only seem to get the background Dektop and nothing else. (see img). Pressing F5 to reflesh makes no difference.

Tried on Vivaldi & Chrome, same on both browsers.

Can anyone say why the test isn't available so often?

Re: No BTWholesale?

Try Crtl+F5 - or SHIFT+F5, can't remember which, offhand.

Re: No BTWholesale?

Thanks

Just tried and it worked straight off without any need to refresh, so will bear your idea in mind for the next 'no-show' (it's Ctrl+F5 you need, full refresh AND browser cache flush, had to remind myself as well.

AS an aside, I though, mid 2023, that BT were stating the Speed test was being phased out, has that been cancelled then?

Re: No BTWholesale?

I don't know about the phasing out, but I never use the BT test - being with Zen, my connection doesn't seem to be recognised half the time, and since I've moved to FTTP, I prefer other test sites anyway.

Re: No BTWholesale?

I have browsers Firefox, Chrome, and Chromium on my various PCs.

The ONLY way I can get  https://speedtest.btwholesale.com/  to reliably run

is to use Chromium and then going into 'incognito mode' before running the test !
