Problems with broadband connection

We've had our broadband connection for a long time now and problems are rare but I've noticed over the last few weeks the odd outage and for the last 3 mornings around 06:30 (just as I am taking the dog out for a walk, so roughly then) the broadband is down.

I reminded myself to check this evening having been out all day and logged in (21:40 ish) to find my connection has only been up for 1.5 hours (obviously wasnt down long because I did not get a phone call from an annoyed teenager.)

 

Just recording this here as I'm seeing increasing issues and want to make a record as can't get any useful help at this time of night.

First thing to check: Is your phoneline clear? Dial 17070 (preferably from a corded phone), select option 2. Once your phone number is confirmed, there should be silence on the line except for the regular 'Quiet Line Test' message - any other noise, report a PHONE problem via: https://www.plus.net/help/report-a-problem/phone/

If the phone test passes, report a broadband problem via: https://www.plus.net/help/report-a-problem/broadband/

Let us know the result - if the tests come back as clear but you still have a problem, we need to investigate further.

Thanks I'll give that a go, typically we dont use the land line often and the moment I pick it up to dial it rings!
