Question about low Upload speeds

stupid question time:

with our Unlimited Fibre package (using part-fibre technology) our estimated  upload speed is 1.5 Mbps.

our usual upload speed is 1.2 - 1.5Mbps

according to BTW, our Upstream Line Rate should be between 4(High A+B) & 2.5 - 2.1 (Low A + B) ...

why is there such a difference? and is there any way of increasing it?

thanks

John

Re: Question about low Upload speeds

Can you post the router line stats please. There could be a fault.

Re: Question about low Upload speeds

Are you still using Powerline adapters as discussed two years ago? See https://community.plus.net/t5/Broadband/Broadband-speeds-oddities-between-current-and-upgrade/m-p/19...

Re: Question about low Upload speeds

Did you ever conclude if they did or do not interfere  with the performance of your VDSL service?

At just 1km from the green box, the figures are grim, though the DS is markedly better than the guidelines.

Worth raising a fault report to see if the US can be brough closer to the estimates, but there are never any commitments of US performance.
