Random dropouts - flashing orange light on hub

Hi,

I'm a Plusnet fibre customer and have been at my current (rented) property since 2022. In the last ~3 months, I've been having random dropouts where the my Plusnet hub 2 (used as a modem only) flashes orange. This can last up to a minute or two before it regains connection, and can happen between 0 to maybe 3 times a day. 

My setup is Plusnet hub 2 in bridge mode into an older Optiplex running opnsense. 

I've previously reported the issue to plusnet who diagnosed it as a bridge tap, however I'm not sure the engineer did much since I had stable connection when he arrived. 

I've also tried factory resetting the hub and plugging the filter into the test socket with no success.

Does anyone here have any advice for troubleshooting this further? Thanks

Just keep reporting the problem, until it is fixed! In principle, you know what your line is ABLE to do, so you'd expect it to return to something similar once it's fixed.

You can't expect "perfection" as things like "other FTTC users on the same cable" can have a minor effect on your speed (I'm noticing that, as people stop using their FTTC, and go over to FTTP, my FTTC is getting faster again!!)
