Renewal Due - Improving Wifi range

Ive been with plusnet a while now and generally happy with the broaband I get. My 18 month contract is ending and I'vre been offered a good price to extend for another 18 months.

My one oncern is that the wifi doesn't work well in the bedroom. It wrks well in the rest of the house.

I'm thinking of moving in the hope that a newer router will work better.

Is it worth asking plusnet for a solution before doing so ?

Before renewing, see if you can get them to supply the latest PN Router; the HUB ONE, has a poor record re wifi performance. You could buy an OPENREACH one off a well known auction site that performs better for WIFI.

@david_now  Welcome to the Community forum.

If you are on one of the fibre products then ring the Customer Options Team on 0800 013 2632 and ask for them to renew your contract at the quoted price and for a new Hub 2. This phone number is generally answered quite quickly.

If you are on ADSL then follow @Gel's advice (except that he means a BT Smarthub or Smarthub 2, nothing to do with Openreach). You will find setting instructions pinned to the top of the router board.

Re: Renewal Due - Improving Wifi range

@Gel That is a MODEM only - not a combined unit. You need a router to go with it.
