Since having my router replaced a few weeks ago my wifi has been dropping out on a regular basis. Also the speed is now poor in general.
The Open Reach engineer also change the phone socket into which the router is plugged to one that includes the line splitter.
Any suggestions on where to go with this?
I have tried all the usual things, reboot, reset etc all to no avail/

@Grange Welcome to the Plusnet Community Forum.
The question has to be whether it is the new hub or the new master socket that's causing the fault. If it's the latest type with a clip on filter section it would be helpful if you could remove this. In the back you will see the Test socket.. Can you plug the filter that came with your new hub in here and connect it to the hub DSL cable to see if this fixes the problem. Note that any wired extensions will not work when you are connected in this mode.
These sockets can be problematic if the back box is screwed down tight on to an uneven surface.
Let us know how you get on.

Thank you for your reply,
I have now taken off the main socket faceplate and plugged the splitter directly into the back socket.
I will leave it for a while to see if any improvement occurs.

1) What was the reason for replacing the old router ?
2) If the old router still works, do you still have it, and if so do the current problems go away if you use it ?
3) What make and model was the old router ?
