Restarted router, can't see any networks

We are in meltdown. Restarted router(trouble with TV) now can't see any networks on phones, laptops etc. Thus can't use Internet for anything. Clearly we've done something super dumb but are totally stuck. Any ideas please? Thank you.

Apart from 'restarting the router' - how - what else did you do?

Re: Restarted router, can't see any networks

Went onto laptop and found no Internet. So clicked to select network to log onto and none in the list. Checked all devices. None are on the Internet and none showing our networks. I can see spurious neighbour ones. Tried switching off router and on again and waited. Still none of our networks to see. Son said wait until tomorrow and they will appear. Really? If that's worth a try then so be it. Thank you.

Re: Restarted router, can't see any networks

Plusnet hub one
Can see blue bar light - book indicates this means Your hub is working fine

But light that worries me is
Orange wireless light is on - NOT flashing
Book says - you've switched off wireless security for one or both wireless channels .

Re: Restarted router, can't see any networks

Then try switching your wireless on again. Sorry I can't tell you how - I don't use the Hub1 or the Windows operating system.

You could of course try resetting the Hub by pressing the reset button on the rear - use a paper clip or similar, hold it in until you get a green light, release, and wait for the steady blue light again.

Yes I'll try that cycle again. But so far it hasn't worked. If this try doesn't work I'll wait until tomorrow. In case stuff resets overnight. But thanks for your attention.

'Stuff' doesn't reset overnight. If a reset doesn't fix it, you may have to wait until a Community member with more knowledge/experience hopefully picks this up tomorrow.

Re: Restarted router, can't see any networks

One last thought - try pressing the 'wireless' button on the Hub.

Re: Restarted router, can't see any networks

Fix

Fixed. Connected laptop directly to router via cable. Logged into Hub Manager. Went to security part (because light on router indicated we'd switched off security) Wireless network enable was set to NO so I set to YES. For both 2.4/5 GHz wireless. And we could see our networks. We've never had to do that before and we've no idea why it was set no NO. But up and running now so much relieved. All kit around the household now on the internet. Phew!
