Search domains in routers settings, weird name?

In my iPads settings its has the name "ian" in the "search domain" box. How can I change this? This is the name of a family friend and If they have fiddled with the settings I'd like to change it back.

I think you'll find it's "lan" (LAN).

Sorry to laugh but thats been the only highlight of an day spent feeling quite ill. 
Easy mistake to make though
