Then @TheMightyAJ opened a case, see URL above.
This was updated over the next few hours and concluded with “expect work to be carried out on Friday, the 23rd of September”
Then today, Thursday 22nd, whilst I was out of the house I was disconnected.
After decades of operating a broadband service I’m staggered and how I’ve can end up in this situation.

Strange - as I understand the system, the bot would respond with a message - not always in understandable English, admittedly - suggesting the next steps.
I am now a little intrigued, but until @TheMightyAJ or one of the team respond, it is pointless me trying to second guess the system, or what has happened.

Hi Andy,
I'm really sorry to see what has happened.
Unfortunately Monday is the earliest we can get another engineer out. I've just checked the availability and if we were to arrange a new appointment, it would be Tuesday, so I've left things booked in for Monday.
Appreciate the circumstances but I cannot arrange another engineer sooner where there's no availability showing.
