Thanks for the info.
The engineer came out on the 31st and that’s why there were so many resyncs on that day.
Thursday the power was cut off for a smart meter replacement.
The days where there at single syncs is where I get an email from the router in the early hours of the morning to tell me the dsl has dropped. The routers uptime is running into days, so I know it’s the line that drops and not the router.
I am going to replace the RJ11 cable and run straight from the test socket. We don’t have any internal wiring at all. Unfortunately we can’t make it any simpler as it’s just the cable in, faceplate and router. No phone connected etc.
Once I’ve got them in place I’ll ask if a reset can be done and see if it improves anything. I can always get an old Openreach Modem from work as well. We have seen a few lines that don’t like Draytek routers and had to revert to the old modems.

Hi again,
I’ve replaced the cable from the master socket to the router tonight (you’ll see a LOT of resyncs on my line). Also rerouted it away from other CAT6 cables and power cables that were in the cabinet running along side it. Hopefully rules out any crosstalk/induction etc. I’ve also moved equipment away from the router on the off chance this might be causing issues. At this stage I’ll try anything.
Could you request a caution counter reset for me? There should be no power issues to upset the router now. Building work in the house is finished where power is concerned.

Sure, no problem. I've arranged the reset now and that should go through within 3 working days.
It absolutely is satisfying to see a problem through to the very end and genuinely one of the best parts of my job.
