If you have just moved to Plusnet then the DLM should have been reset to 6dB if you line will support it then this will drop over the coming days to 3dB with an increase in speed. It will be interesting to see the data requested bu @jab1. Assuming that you have a hub 2 you need to log in to the Advanced settings and go to the Technical Log page.
Edit
Latest replies crossed mine.
It needs leaving to see if the DLM kicks in.
As far as I am aware the Plusnet profile reflects the sync speed, you are not ‘put on it’ by Plusnet. It just needs leaving alone for a week to see what happens.

Your post code is irrelevant with regards to your speed - it is purely based on those attenuation figures/the condition of the copper section of your line, and you were getting 71.67Mb/s on the 24/6 - presumably prior to your switch. There is no reason why you should have lost 10Mb just by the change - nothing, apart from who you pay has really changed.

Yes information does state it takes upto ten days to stabalise, I didn't know if there was any truth in that, but you have confirmed it must be true.
I'll see how it pans out over the next week or so.
Thank you.

Fair enough @Baldrick1 , but I still don't see - with those attenuation figures the OP's line synced at 60.

Bit of a myth, really.

I disagree, after a DLM reset the DLM is designed to automatically tune the SNR and hence speed to the lowest SNR down to 3dB at an acceptable error level. If there is a high error level it will go the other way.

Ok, now I'm confused, but you know better than me about this tech!

Fair enough, @Baldrick1 but my experience differed. I switched from ADSL to FTTC when moving providers - PN to Zen - as did my sister - and we both got 40Mb/s (or as near as) from the off.

It could be that we are both right.
I believe that on a change of ISP the DLM is reset to 6 dB and left to its own devices to get the best possible speed. It’s possible that this will get it in the 70Mbps region. At the same time this is at the low end of expectations and might be caused by an impedance fault, that’s increasing the attenuation.
Either way I would not anticipate any action by Plusnet until the line has had time to settle.

Again, @Baldrick1 , I tend to agree with you, but I would suggest to the OP to keep a close eye on this. If he had no problems with the BT connection, it should fairly quickly 're-adjust'.

I have just checked my hub stats. Attenuation is very similar to the OP’s and I sync around 70Mbps with a 3dB SNR.

Thanks for that, @Baldrick1 . My understanding is that he should therefore easily sync at that level, even with a 6dB SNR, as that will give him more 'headroom' for error correction.

Well I checked just now and there has been a vast improvement over night.
It must have reset as I didn't turn it off, but uptime only 9.44 hours.
Anyway check the attached images.
Thanks again guys.
