Steady orange v flashing orange

What is the difference between when the router is showing steady orange and when it is flashing orange?

Thanks, so steady orange means that the broadband signal is reaching the modem?

Before I answer that, it would be useful to know why you are asking the question.

Good question @MisterW ?

The OP  did have a previous topic: https://community.plus.net/t5/Broadband/Router-flashing-orange/m-p/1972150 which it appears was never followed up, despite a Help Team response.
