US IP Address

Recently upgraded my broadband fibre product with Plusnet... and now all my connections think I live in the US!

If I check my IP address properly, it does display properly and things like BBC iPlayer work fine - but whenever I used google etc, I think I live in the US and I get US ocused search result

(This across all devices, so not settings based)

Any ideas on how to reset it back to UK?

The chances are that this ex an ex-BT Americas IP,  and the sites thinking you are U.S. based haven't updated their geo-location data, or are just using inefficient providers. I'm surprised Google is so way out though -  they at least usually get the country correct - but not always the city.

What other sites are misbehaving?

My main issue is why it's suddenly started.

Lived here 7 years, plusnet the last 4 years and just started doing it a couple of months ago.

Probably because your external IP changed for some reason around that time. As I asked, what other sites are guilty of this, and what results do you get if you enter your IP into this site: My IP - What is my IP address? Free IP Tracer, IP Locator, Hide my IP address
