Re: Useless Plusnet Now ??

An updated view of the router stats and another BT Wholesale speed test would be useful benchmarks please.  Your perception of "better" seems a little at odds with the metrics you have posted previously.  No change to data speed, whilst Plusnet report an increase in the error rate.

Re: Useless Plusnet Now ??

It seems better for me regardless as I am able to get on  to my bank, speak to my family and see them better than when I first raised the subject

Re: Useless Plusnet Now ??

That is most odd / intersting - compare that to your speed test of 3rd Jan 2022 before the profile was changed to less stable - https://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest/1641211007719937355

Both speed tests show similar results for the x6 concurrent transfer test, but markedly different results for the x1 transfer test. From the Think Broadband speed test FAQ...

"The first download test we run is the tbbx1, where the x1 means we are downloading a single file and thus will show what your performance is like for streaming video. On a good connection with no congestion, traffic management or other issues the speed for a single download should match the multiple download test. The second test uses six downloads at the same time and in situations where Wi-Fi or provider congestion is a factor you may see the second download running a lot faster."

It is somewhat evident that the summary reports point to the x6 results hence the apparent no change in performance from the figures you reported.  I find it odd that the change in x1 transfer speeds might be put down to the slight increase in sync speed, given that the x6 transfers (which are intended to soak the capacity of the link) are identical.

Anyone have any suggestions why x1 might have changed so substantially whilst the x6 test intended to saturate the line remained the same ... which is more or less what would be anticipated of a line running marginally faster with a higher error rate.

Re: Useless Plusnet Now ??

Dare I tell you that this works quite well with the low   3   noise margin please dont change it

I also have to renew shortly so dont want alterations
