VDSL connection drops every 5 minutes

OPNsense router connected to an OpenReach modem.

So I’ve been getting random PPPoE disconnects for the past few months or so, maybe once every few weeks, but it’s always sorted itself out.
Couple of weeks ago it got really bad, a few times per day, often I’d have to reset the router and modem in order to get it to reconnect again. Assumed the modem might be at fault (it’s at least 10 years old now) so swapped it out for the Plusnet supplied router (running in bridged mode). All seemed fine for the past week but now I’m getting a disconnect every 5 minutes.
Just to rule out the possibility of the OPNsense being at fault I’ve switch to only using the Plusnet router (back in “router” mode) for testing. Same thing. After around 5 minutes it drops the connection.

Can someone have a look into this for me?

Re: VDSL connection drops every 5 minutes

@mattrigg Sounds like a fault, to me> How long have you  had the Hub running for now, and can you keep it as it is - much easer to get useful data of those than 'non-standard' equipment.

Re: VDSL connection drops every 5 minutes

No problem. I'll leave the Plusnet router connected for the moment.

It's been running for around 30 minutes...I'm trying to access the logs but I can't seem to find them.

[edit], nm, found them!

Re: VDSL connection drops every 5 minutes

Which Hub is it - 1 or 2?

Fix

Ah - you found it! Looking at the connection time on that snippet, I suggest you report a fault via: https://www.plus.net/help/report-a-problem/
